I know I haven’t exactly been consistent with the posts recently and the reason is my flavor adventures are taking me to a new location… I’m moving to New York! Almost all of my free time has been spent either packing, job searching, or thinking of creative ways to eat all the food in my fridge/pantry. Alright, the Asian salmon burgers with sesame soy mayo that I created were definitely blog worthy yet somehow I just couldn’t get around to posting. It’s been time consuming and my mind is so chock full of moving thoughts that I haven’t even given blogging a thought. Well, besides the guilty thoughts of not posting as often as I wanted. The whole packing experience has been fun… (ha…ha… sarcasm), my boyfriend has helped especially when it comes to getting rid of things and lord knows I really needed to purge my apartment. For instance, he could not imagine WHY on earth I needed to have five spatulas. Or my old dance costumes from middle school. Or about a year’s supply of paper clips and staples. Because, you know, you never know when you might need a dance costume. Or what if a craft project calls for a million staples? Or maybe you have people for breakfast and five spatulas is completely logical? Yeah well my reasoning’s didn’t exactly fly and I’ve already donated about six large boxes of items, though it sure doesn’t feel any cleaner yet. Ok and I actually started laughing when I found six rolls of scotch tape.
I’m honestly really excited to move and experience the big city, one that I claimed I would never move to so looks like I’m eating my words. It will definitely be a whole new world so thankfully I’m living outside NYC for now and will be able to transition from small city life to BIG city life. Speaking of eating, I know that the food experiences are going to be amazing! Just the same, I’ll miss my Bellevue adventures! It’s been so much fun discovering and exploring the last year. I’m sad I haven’t been able to make it to every restaurant or café, but I’m thinking of creating a Bellevue Bucket List for my last two weeks. That’s right, just two weeks! It’s hard for me to see my own food go to waste but I know I’m going to have to fit some last stops in. Would love any comments on where I haven’t been that is a MUST go! Anyways I’ll be trying to keep you updated on the moving situation and soon I’ll be posting from across the country!
